Overview:
The need for managing multiple projects, strategic business transformation and growth initiatives, has given rise to the discipline of program management.

Program managers need to be capable of managing large complex efforts, understand new and changing business models and manage the impact of individual projects on the organization’s structure and profitability.

To support the learning and development needs of program managers, PM Academy offers CPgM as a complete learning and support framework that facilitates development of Professional Program Management competencies.

It’s a process that goes beyond training, towards linking practical learning to performance on live programs.

Global Credentials:
The content and methodology of this program is aligned to PMI® (USA)’s Standards of Program Management as well as APM (UK) Methodology, “Managing Successful Programmes.” The syllabus is aligned to the PMI® Standard for Program Management Second Edition and the program’s goal is to mentor/coach participants to plan, manage and control programs using international best practices. Participants who successful complete and acquire the CPgM certification will be prepared for the Global PgMP® certification from PMI® USA.

How CPgM Works:
A three-tiered approach is used to deliver the CPgM program. This involves a 3-day experiential workshop followed by weekly assignments, online mentoring sessions, end-of-program Capstone Report, and professional assessments.

  • First Tier - Foundation
    3-day workshop on Overcoming Challenge of Execution: The Program Management Way.
    This workshop introduces emerging concepts for managing programs associated with strategic objectives. The main theme of the workshop would cover best practice approaches to meeting the complex challenges of managing programs made up of multiple projects

  • Second Tier- Self Learning and Application Coaching
    Participants will self-learn using the interactive content provided through a learning portal. Here they will use the PgM Toolkit to assist them in completing assignments. Assignments are actually applications of PgM skills on live programs. Mentors will assess the performance on these application provide feedback to learners.

  • Third Tier – Reporting and Feedback
    Participants will get a written feedback from the program instructor on their final application report. The CPgM certification process will conclude here and partner organization can then use the data to further deepen the mentoring process based on internal development and certification programs.

  • Validate the program proposal/objectives and ensure its alignment to strategic objectives
  • Define the program and align the stakeholders to the definition and requirements
  • Define and set up the program and project management processes
  • Prepare high-level component project definition and charter the projects
  • Prepare benefit measurement plan by validating the benefit estimates
  • Identify the risk and prepare the response plan at the program level
